Rare Foundations Development Programme
Rare Foundations is Rare’s series of introductory career programmes for Black African and Black Caribbean students and students of mixed race with Black African and Black Caribbean heritage in their first year of a three-year course or second year of a four-year course.
Rare Foundations: Law is a competitive programme for students interested in commercial law. The programme is run in conjunction with Clifford Chance, Herbert Smith Freehills, Hogan Lovells, Linklaters and Mishcon de Reya.
This is an exclusive programme that will distinguish participants from their peers in an increasingly competitive market. Successful applicants will get a foot in the door and start building valuable relationships with partners, associates, trainees, and graduate recruitment managers at five of the world’s best law firms. It will also mean that you have some of the top international firms’ names, alongside a prestigious programme, on your CV, before you go into your second term at university.
If you are selected for Rare Foundations: Law, you will be fast-tracked to an interview for our extended development programme, Articles.
They ask for a minimum of ABB at A level (or equivalent) and will take into account contextual information and mitigating circumstances.
Applications for Rare Foundations: Law 2023 will open on 25 September 2023 and close on 29 October 2023.
