Pauline Campbell was born in East London to Jamaican parents. At fifteen she was told she was not ‘A’ level material. At forty-one she qualified as a lawyer and now holds a senior legal position advising on race equality and provides free legal advice for victims of the Windrush scandal. This is a success story that has been a long time in the making and with an evergrowing sense of consciousness. She has written her story for anyone and everyone who wants to open their eyes and see what is going on around us.
