Mindfulness & the Inner Critic – seeing in the new year mindfully.
New Year can tend to be a time where we focus on resolutions and what we can do to better ourselves. In this session, Ruth Ormston (mindfulness teacher and former lawyer) will explore the relationship of mindfulness to non-judgment, and how this can help with working with our ‘inner critics’ – that inner voice that can sometimes tell us we’re no good at stuff, can be particularly vocal for lawyers, and can sometimes ramp up a notch at new year! There will be a short talk followed by a period of mindfulness practice together.
