We’re all interested in happiness, but do we know how to attain it? Lawyers traditionally suffer from stress, long hours, and difficult working environments, which lead to difficult emotions in the workplace. Mindfulness practice can help to unwind our reactivity and de-stress, leading to greater happiness and ease in our jobs and in our life generally. We will discuss how we train attention and awareness through mindfulness practice, and learn simple mindfulness techniques which we can utilise during our workdays. Both the American Bar Association and the Law Society as well as LawCare recommend mindfulness as an important technique supporting lawyers’ wellbeing. Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome.
