The dictionary definition of inclusivity is the quality of trying to include many different types of people and treat them all fairly and equally.
Inclusivity in the Workplace
When we talk about inclusiveness in the workplace we mean:
- ensuring that everyone’s individual needs are accommodated in order to provide a space where all employees are able to perform well and reach their full potential.
- an environment where individuals feel a sense of belonging and feel like they can be themselves in the workplace.
- eliciting and valuing contributions from everyone in the workplace.
- accepting and valuing the differences of others and promoting a culture of respect and support.
