Law.com International reports that DLA Piper has set diversity and inclusion goals for its international partnership, including targeting a 30% female partnership by 2025.
It is the latest firm to commit to diversifying its ranks, with a number of global law firms placing more emphasis on the issue in the past year.
DLA said in a statement on Monday that it aims to double the percentage of women in the international partnership, which accounts for all its non-U.S. offices, to at least 40% by 2030, and that half of all of its future internal promotions will come from under-represented groups.
These under-represented groups include cultural heritage and ethnicity, gender and identity, disability and neurodiversity, background and social mobility, sexual orientation and people working part time, the statement added.
