Law.com International reports that Linklaters has increased its firmwide gender diversity target for its annual partner promotions round to 40%.
Linklaters is the latest outfit to reaffirm its commitment to diversifying its partnership, with a number of firms opting to introduce or increase their targets in recent months.
The new target, which comes into effect ahead of this year’s promotional round, is an increase on the firm’s previous 30% target, first adopted in 2014.
Linklaters failed to hit that amount in half of its new partner cohorts between 2015 and 2020. On average, women accounted for 28% of all partner promotions across the period, with 46 of 164 promotions handed to women.
