Legal professionals, businesses, not-for-profits and teams from across the UK were recognised for their achievements in the field of diversity, equity and inclusion at the Women and Diversity in Law Awards ceremony on 13 March. 350 finalists, awards’ judges and other representatives of the UK legal profession attended the ceremony, which was hosted by award-winning actress Natalie Gumede.
Among those honoured were Bar Council vice chair Barbara Mills KC, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and FieldFisher partner Caron Heyes, who was named Woman of Year. Other law firm winners included Clifford Chance, Farrer & Co, RPC and Reed Smith while Aviva, Standard Chartered, the Law Society of England and Wales and the International Bar Association (IBA), among many other businesses and not-for-profits.
