Attend: SEARCHING FOR JUSTICE – How can we help those who have been failed by the state?

The Society of Asian Lawyers (SAL) has teamed up with the Association of Muslim Lawyers (AML) to bring you ‘Searching for Justice – How can we help those who have been failed by the state?’

Family Justice Campaigns are campaigns run by those who have lost loved ones often through state action or inaction. These families are searching for the truth, justice and accountability.

Family Justice Campaigns play a crucial role in demanding justice and holding the state to account.

Join them on Thursday 4th February 2021 at 6.30 pm to discuss the importance of these campaigns and how they can complement or give rise to legal proceedings.

Speakers include:

1. Attiq Malik – lawyer representing Shukri Abdi’s family in their quest for justice;

2. Sukhdev Reel – mother of Ricky Reel, whose fight for justice spans 23 years and counting;

3. Natasha Thomson – Grenfell Project Coordinator & Senior Caseworker at INQUEST.
