What is Disability Pay Gap Day?

The TUC introduced Disability Pay Gap Day in 2019. It is the day of the year when the average disabled person stops being paid, compared to the average non-disabled person.

New analysis shows pay gap between non-disabled and disabled workers is now 14.6% – higher than it was a decade ago. The gap amounts to £1.90 per hour, or £66.50 per week or £3,460 per year to someone working a 35-hour week.
